This account is used by the Snaps in the Tableau 9&10 Snap Pack.
You can create an account from Designer or Manager. In Designer, when working on pipelines, every Snap that needs an account prompts you to create a new account or use an existing account. The accounts can be created in or used from:
- Your private project folder: This folder contains the pipelines that will use the account.
- Your Project Space’s shared folder: This folder is accessible to all the users that belong to the Project Space.
- The global shared folder: This folder is accessible to all the users within an organization in the SnapLogic instance.
Account Configuration
In Manager, you can navigate to the required folder and create an account in it (see Accounts ). To create an account for Tableau:
- Click Create, then select Tableau9 then Tableau Account or Tableau REST Account.
- Supply an account label.
- Supply the Username, Password, Server, and Site for your Tableau account.
- (Optional) Supply additional information on this account in the Notes field of the Info tab.
- Click Apply.

Click the link to download a list of Tableau 9.x and 10.x operations. 9.2 - If selected, the server lists all the 9.2 operations. 10.1 - If selected, the server lists all the 10.1 operations. 10.5 - If selected, the server lists all the 10.5 operations. Other - If selected, the user must explicitly provide the XML Schema URL and the API version of the server. Default value: 9.2

S3 credentials | Provide access-key ID and secret-key if the file (to be upload in the REST operation invoked) resides on an S3 bucket. |

IAM Role | If selected, the IAM role stored in the EC2 instance is used to access the S3 bucket. If so, the Access-key ID and Secret key are then not required. Please note this feature is valid only in Groundplex nodes hosted in the EC2 environment. Please refer to the Snap Reference document for the required entry in the global.properties file.
