Configuring your Salesforce Account as a Data Source

Overview

Configure a new account as your data source in Fast Data Loader (FDL) by using the user credentials from your existing account in Salesforce.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials and access to Salesforce account. Contact your administrator, if you do not have access or settings details.

  • Access to Salesforce Snap Pack in SnapLogic’s Intelligence Integration Platform.

Supported Versions

The Fast Data Loader is tested against Salesforce Service version 20.0 to 43.0.

Create new connection tag

Required. Enter a name that will help identify your Salesforce account in FDL.

Security Token

Required. Enter the security token of your salesforce account. To create a security token, log into your Salesforce account and go to Personal Setup > My Personal Information > Reset My Security Token.

Salesforce to Snowflake Integration might fail while loading complex data types.

Troubleshooting

You might encounter the following errors when you validate and save your integration:

Asset conflict error.

You cannot have another account in FDL with the same name. If you enter the existing account name, the Asset conflict error message is displayed.

Ensure that account name is unique. You can click Overwrite to overwrite the existing configuration with the new one, or click Cancel and enter a unique name for your account.

Failed to validate account.

You might have entered an invalid username and password.

Multiple attempts with invalid credentials may lock your account.

Ensure that you enter valid Salesforce account credentials.
