Configuring your SAP DWC Account as a Data Destination

Overview

You can configure a new SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC) account in Fast Data Loader (FDL) by using the user credentials from your existing account in SAP DWC.

Prerequisites

  • Login credentials and access to SAP DWC account. Contact your administrator, if you do not have access or the account details.
    For more information on:

  • Access to SAP DWC Snap Pack in SnapLogic’s Intelligence Integration Platform.

Supported Version

The Fast Data Loader is tested against EHP6 for SAP ERP6.0 and may be compatible with later versions.

Required. Enter a name that will help identify your SAP DWC account in FDL.

Required. Enter the hostname of your SAP DWC database.

Port Number

String

Required. Enter the database server's port number to which the application must connect.

Known issue: When configuring your SAP DWC account in FDL, the interface generates the default port number as 30015, which is incorrect. Hence, you need to update the port number to 443.

Database name

String

Required. Enter the database name to which the application must connect.

When configuring a SAP account which is used to connect to SAP DWC, enter the Database name in the following format:

Database name: <Space Schema Name>

For the account to work as expected, you must add SnapLogic IP addresses to the allow list in your SAP DWC. This entry must be approved by SAP before you can connect to the SAP DWC. For more information about adding IP addresses to the Allow list, see SAP Documentation.

Required. Enter the username that you have configured for your SAP DWC account in the following format. The username must be valid to set up the destination endpoint.

Required. Enter the password used to connect to the destination endpoint.

You might encounter the following errors when you validate and save your integration:

Asset conflict error.

You cannot have another account in FDL with the same name. If you enter the existing account name, the Asset conflict error message is displayed.

Ensure that account name is unique. You can click Overwrite to overwrite the existing configuration with the new one, or click Cancel and enter a unique name for your account.

Failed to validate account.

You might have entered invalid username and password.

Multiple attempts with invalid credentials may lock your account.

Ensure that you enter valid SAP DWC account credentials.
