Error

Error handling is a generic way to handle errors without losing data or failing the Snap execution. You can handle the errors that the Snap might encounter when running the Pipeline by choosing one of the following options from the When errors occur list under the Views tab:

  • Stop Pipeline Execution: Stops the current Pipeline execution if the Snap encounters an error.

  • Discard Error Data and Continue: Ignores the error, discards that record, and continues with the remaining records.

  • Route Error Data to Error View: Routes the error data to an error view without stopping the Snap execution.

Label*

Default ValueELT Database Account
ExampleELT RS Account

String

The name for the Snap. You can modify this to be more specific, especially if you have more than one of the same Snap in your Pipeline.

Input type*

Default Value: JSON Array
Example: Map

String

Enter the type of data used to write the given data to the required database. The options available are:

  • JSON data

  • JSON Array

  • Map

  • Array

Key name*

Default Value: None
Example: MF96D-M9N47-XKV7X-C3GCQ-G5349

String

Specify the key name of the object.

Ignore Empty Data

Default Value: Selected
Example: Not Selected

Checkbox

Select this checkbox to send the document to the error view if the input is empty.

If you do not select this checkbox, it produces an empty output document when the input CSV data is empty (both an empty binary stream and a binary stream move only with CSV headers). This feature might be useful if the downstream Snaps should be executed, whether the input CSV data is empty.

Original Data

Default Value: Not Selected
Example: Selected

Checkbox

Select this checkbox to add the original data to the output.

Snap Execution

Default Value: Execute
Example: Validate & Execute

Dropdown list

Select one of the following three modes in which the Snap executes:

  • Validate & Execute: Performs limited execution of the Snap, and generates a data preview during Pipeline validation. Subsequently, it performs full execution of the Snap (unlimited records) during Pipeline runtime.

  • Execute only: Performs complete execution of the Snap during Pipeline execution without generating preview data.

  • Disabled: Disables the Snap and all Snaps that are downstream from it.
