Upcoming Policy Change for Snap Pack Versions

What is happening?

Starting with the Aug 2024 (4.38) release, only Snap Pack versions from the previous two platform releases will be available. For example, for the August release, only 4.37 (May 2024) and 4.36 (Feb 2024) will be available. If your Org is configured with earlier Snap Pack versions, you must upgrade to the latest supported version by the August 2024 release.

Why are we removing older Snap Packs?

We frequently enhance our Snap Packs and want customers to take advantage of the enhancements while building their pipelines. Using an outdated version prevents customers from benefiting from the latest enhancements or bug fixes. Additionally, it risks incompatibility with the current platform version and causes issues for the support team when they diagnose issues.

With each quarterly release, Orgs are automatically upgraded to the Stable Snap Pack version. You do not have to manually perform this update to use the latest Snap Pack version for each release. Learn more about the SnapLogic Release Process.

When is the change going to be effective?

This change is effective starting with the Aug 2024 (4.38) release.

How do I find which version of Snap Pack is used in my Org?

Navigate to SnapLogic® Designer and open a pipeline.
Click the Snap and open the Info tab.
Scroll down to the Class FQID to view the Snap Pack version.

Alternatively, you can also follow this procedure to find the Snap Pack version:

Navigate to SnapLogic® Manager.
Click Snap Packs in the left navigation pane.
You can view the Snap Packs and their versions.

How do I upgrade to the latest version from an older version?

For example, to upgrade from an older version to the 4.35 (main23721) version:

Navigate to SnapLogic® Manager.
Click Snap Packs in the left navigation pane.
You can view the Snap Packs and their versions.
On the Version dropdown list, select main23721 version.
