Error

Error handling is a generic way to handle errors without losing data or failing the Snap execution. You can handle the errors that the Snap might encounter when running the Pipeline by choosing one of the following options from the When errors occur list under the Views tab:

  • Stop Pipeline Execution: Stops the current Pipeline execution if the Snap encounters an error.

  • Discard Error Data and Continue: Ignores the error, discards that record, and continues with the remaining records.

  • Route Error Data to Error View: Routes the error data to an error view without stopping the Snap execution.

Troubleshooting

Error

Reason

Resolution

Unable to start embedded Teamcenter Adapter.

The Teamcenter SnapPack requires SOA API Libraries. The required SOA API Libraries are not available in the JCC (Java Command Center) environment.

Copy the necessary API library files to the %SL_ROOT%/teamcenter_lib directory. Then, ensure they are added to SL_CLASSPATH. Verify the correct library setup.

Communication failure with Teamcenter. Host cannot be connected

The configured host name cannot be resolved to an IP address.

  • Host Name Check: Verify and correct the hostname.

  • DNS Configuration: Check and correct DNS configuration.

Connection Failed while connecting to Teamcenter

Communication with the Teamcenter Webtier cannot be established due to firewall settings or incorrect URL/port configuration.

Investigate if there's a firewall between Groundplex and Teamcenter Server. Verify URL and port settings.

The username and password provided in the account configuration are incorrect

Ensure that the correct username and password are configured in the account.
