Description:

This Snap posts a tweet (message) from a Twitter user account.

  • Expected upstream Snaps: Upstream Snap can be provided. File Reader followed by any file parser.
  • Expected downstream Snaps: Any file formatter followed by File Writer.
  • Expected input: Post Message should be provided. Latitude and longitude can be provided if the location of the tweet is needed.
  • Expected output: Posts a status to Twitter.

This Snap uses account references created on the Accounts page of SnapLogic Manager to handle access to this endpoint. See Configuring Twitter Accounts for information on setting up this type of account.


Views:
InputThis Snap has at most one document input view. The input data can be provided in the input view or in the properties.
OutputThis Snap has exactly one document output view.
ErrorThis Snap has at most one document error view and produces zero or more documents in the view.

Settings

Label


Required. The name for the Snap. You can modify this to be more specific, especially if you have more than one of the same Snap in your pipeline.

Latitude


The latitude of the location from where the tweet is posted. This parameter will be ignored unless it is inside the range -90.0 to +90.0 (North is positive) inclusive.


Longitude


The longitude of the location from where the tweet is posted. The valid ranges for longitude is -180.0 to +180.0 (East is positive) inclusive.


Post message


Required. The message to posts as a tweet in Twitter.


Snap Execution

Select one of the three modes in which the Snap executes. Available options are:

  • Validate & Execute: Performs limited execution of the Snap, and generates a data preview during Pipeline validation. Subsequently, performs full execution of the Snap (unlimited records) during Pipeline runtime.
  • Execute only: Performs full execution of the Snap during Pipeline execution without generating preview data.
  • Disabled: Disables the Snap and all Snaps that are downstream from it.

Examples

The example assumes that you have configured & authorized a valid Twitter account (see Configuring Twitter Accounts) to be used with this Snap. The following Post Tweet Snap is set to post a message from the Twitter account that is linked to this Snap. In this case, the message tweeted is Hello World! From www.snaplogic.com., and the tweet is specified to show its location as "Hyderabad, India" using the location's Latitude (17.387140) and Longitude (78.491684).

After successful validation of the Snap, you will see a data preview with details of the tweet posted:
