Redshift Select - Spark 2.x SQL


This Snap extracts data from a specified database in the Redshift data warehouse.

Input and Output

  • Expected input: None
  • Expected output: JSON document
  • Expected upstream Snaps: None
  • Expected downstream Snaps: Any Snap that takes document data as its input. Examples: any Transform Snap.



Configuring Accounts

This Snap uses account references created on the Accounts page of SnapLogic Manager to handle access to this endpoint. 

To set up an account:

  1. Open the Select Snap and click on the Accounts tab.
  2. Enter the name of your Redshift Host. For example: <Your_Redshift_Account_Name>
  3. Enter your user name and password, then click Apply.

Limitations and Known Issues

The Settings tab for Accounts displays the required fields to enter your credentials and the buttons Cancel, Validate, and Apply. However, the option to Validate does not support the functionality to validate the credentials.


Snap Settings

LabelName for this Snap. 
Enable SQL query editor

Select this check box to open the SQL editor window to enter your SQL query.

Table nameName of the Table stored in  Redshift.
QueryName of the query for the Redshift database.
S3 folderName of the database table in the folder in S3.
