As the building blocks of a pipeline, Snaps perform a single complete function, such as read, write, or act on data.
The Snaps tab lists the Snaps available. Click on the gray triangle to minimize the catalog. To search for a specific item, enter the name in the search field to filter the list. The Snap Packs automatically expand to display the specific Snaps located. To filter by Snap Pack, type or remove all groupings, select the appropriate option in the Group by drown-down list.
You can also work with the Snaps Catalog using Asset Palette. Asset Palette is an opt-in feature that offers dynamic access to Snaps, Pipelines, and Pattern Pipelines. Asset Palette frees up additional space on the Canvas for your Pipelines.
To search Snaps using the Asset Palette:
- Click on Snaps in Asset Palette.
The Snap Catalog appears. - Search for Snaps by entering a search term in the Search Snaps field.
The result displays the matching Snaps. - Drag and drop a Snap on to the Canvas.
You can sort your search results by Name (for example, File Reader, Join, Mapper), by Snap Pack (for example, SAP Snap Pack), and Type of Snap (Read, Flow, Transform).
