Error handling is a generic way to handle errors without losing data or failing the Snap execution. You can handle the errors that the Snap might encounter when running the Pipeline by choosing one of the following options from the When errors occur list under the Views tab:

  • Stop Pipeline Execution: Stops the current Pipeline execution if the Snap encounters an error.

  • Discard Error Data and Continue: Ignores the error, discards that record, and continues with the remaining records.

  • Route Error Data to Error View: Routes the error data to an error view without stopping the Snap execution.

Resolution

Unable to start the embedded Teamcenter Adapter.

The PLM TC requires SOA API Libraries. The required SOA API Libraries are unavailable in the JCC (Java Command Center) environment.

Copy the required API library files to the %SL_ROOT%/teamcenter_lib directory. Then, ensure they are added to SL_CLASSPATH. Verify the correct library setup.

Communication failure with the PLM TC Snap. The host cannot be connected.

The configured hostname cannot be resolved to an IP address.

  • Hostname Check: Verify and correct the hostname.

  • DNS Configuration: Check and correct the DNS configuration.

The connection failed when connecting to the Teamcenter software.

Communication with the Teamcenter Webtier cannot be established because of firewall settings or incorrect URL/port configuration.

Investigate if there's a firewall between the Groundplex and the Teamcenter server. Verify the URL and port settings.

Incorrect account credentials.

The username and password provided in the account configuration are incorrect.

Ensure that the correct username and password are configured in the account.
