Comparing Pipelines

You can compare Pipelines across projects and project spaces. You can also compare two versions of the same Pipeline.

You must have permission to view the Pipelines that you are comparing.

Snaps in the Pipelines are compared based on:

  • The type of the Snap and its neighboring Snaps.

  • If unmatched, then a Snap is compared by its type only.

  • If the Snap exists in one Pipeline but not in the other, the Snap is considered deleted.

  • The visual position of the Snaps on the canvas is not relevant.

  • The Label (name) of the Snap is not considered in the comparison.

If you have multiple instances of the same type of Snap within your pipelines, they might be compared with a different version of the Snap than you might expect.

For example, if you have Mapper A1 and A2 in Pipeline A and Mapper B1 and B2 in Pipeline B, Mapper A1 might be compared with Mapper B2, even if you expected A1 to be compared with B1.
