Patterns Catalog

Patterns refer to predefined integration templates or design patterns that help streamline the process of building common integration workflows.

You can either create your own patterns within your project space from the Patterns tab in the Designer or access SnapLogic’s Public Pattern Library from the waffle menu on the top right corner of the Designer. To learn more about public patterns, see Cloud Pattern Catalog.

Key Features of Patterns Catalog

The Patterns Catalog within SnapLogic Designer enables users to create several common integration scenarios or workflows without starting from scratch.

  1. Create your own Patterns: You can easily create your own patterns within the pattern projects.

  2. Pattern Reusability: You can reuse the patterns created by you from the Asset Pallete from the Catalog onto the designer. This feature promotes reusability and efficiency in managing common patterns across different integration scenarios.

  3. Integration with other components: The Patterns Catalog seamlessly integrates with other key SnapLogic components. You can click the Snaps icon to explore the Snaps Catalog and the Pipelines icon to access the Pipelines Catalog, enriching your integration capabilities.

Access the Patterns Catalog

You can access the Patterns Catalog by the following procedure:

  1. Click the Patterns icon on the designer's left side panel.

  2. Search the patterns catalog by entering a specific term in the Search field. This dynamic search capability helps you locate the patterns you need. The search results will be displayed, providing information on the number of pipeline matches within the relevant Projects.

  3. After identifying the desired pattern, click the pattern to access the detailed configuration and design.

You can directly access specific patterns in the public pattern catalog through hot links. Once you click on the received hotlink, you will be redirected to the correct pattern page. This streamlines your pattern exploration process by providing instant access to desired patterns.

Create Pattern Project

To create a pattern project, you need Full Access permission to the project space. Contact the SnapLogic Org Admin or the owner of a project space to get access.

To create a pattern project:

  1. In SnapLogic Manager, navigate to Project Spaces and select the project space (Patterns, in this example) where you want to create the pattern project.

  2. Click the arrow next to the Project Space to open project options.

  3. Click Create Project.

  4. Enter a name for the Pattern project and select the Pattern Project checkbox.

  5. Click Create to create a pattern project in the Patterns tab in Designer.

To share the pipeline patterns in this folder, assign permissions to users or groups. All pipelines you add to this project automatically appear under the Patterns Catalog within the project space in which they are created.
