Overview

JIRA is an issue and project management product. 

Use Snaps in this Snap Pack to:

  • Create, update, link, and delete issues in Jira.

  • Search issues using either the HTTP GET method or the Jira Query Language.

  • The JIRA Snap Pack supports both the Jira Server and Jira Cloud.

  • Atlassian has introduced support for API tokens on all Atlassian Cloud sites, replacing Atlassian account passwords for all Jira APIs. If you are using a REST endpoint in Jira with basic authentication, you must update your SnapLogic Jira integrations to use an API token by June 3, 2019. 

         To update your Jira integration, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to your Atlassian Cloud application to create an API token

  2. Once you create the API token, navigate to Jira basic authentication account.

  3. Enter the API token as the Password property on the account.

Supported Version 

This Snap Pack is tested against Jira version 4.

  • startAt field is no longer supported in the JIRA Search Snap. However, it will not impact your existing pipelines.

  • Jira now supports cursor-based pagination, and the Snap automatically handles this feature.

Breaking change:

  • Atlassian has announced the deprecation of the JIRA REST API v2, effective May 1, 2025. If your pipelines use the JIRA REST API v2, they might not function properly. Hence, we recommend updating the API Version field in the Search Snap to 3 to ensure compatibility with the API v3.

  • With the JIRA REST API v3, the output structure for the field description, field comment, and worklog comment keys in the JIRA Search Snap has changed. If your pipelines rely on the output of the Search Snap downstream Snaps, they might not function properly.
    Workaround: Update the old output keys to the new output keys. Learn more about the new output keys.
